vEmotion supports nearly all voice enabled IMs and
voip clients. Users of explicitly supported IMs (skype,
icq, msn, gtalk, aim, yim, qq) need no configuration.
If you use other IMs or VoIP clients, such as SmartVoIP,
Sipphone,
VoIPCheap,
Teltel,
Sipdiscount,
Harbibi,
VoIPStunt,
Express
talk, MagicJack,
it's also very simple to get started. You can config
a customizable voip client in the welcome page shown
as the following image. You usually do not need to fill
all information about your voip client program, just
tell vEmotion how to find the client program.

Or you can configure a voip in "Options"
windows (by clicking menu "Tools | Options").
In the following content we take SmartVoIP
as an example to show how to configure a customized
audio source:
Supposing we have installed smartvoip under "c:\program
files\smartvoip", options shown in the following
image will be suitable for this audio source:
Here we uncheck the "The program
uses DirectX" box. This works for most VoIP clients,
while some programs may need the box to be checked.
In windows vista or windows 7, these two boxes are not
available.
After configuration restart vEmotion and start up SmartVoIP.
You can see a green dot is painted on the icon of the
customized audio source as the following image shows.
Now vEmotion is ready to share music
and record calls over SmartVoIP.
